Core Java / JBoss / Spring Developer : London, To £400 per day

My client is leading playing in the city investment banking sphere. Renowned for their entrepreneurial culture and flat management, all employees are viewed as business critical. They require a Core Java specialist with JBoss and Spring experience.

Essential skills for the Core Java / JBoss / Spring Developer role :

Core Java (Java 1.5 or 1.6)
Spring
XML / Soap web services
JBOSS (4 or better Application Web Server)
Eclipse IDE
Oracle (Relational DB/SQL)
Basic Linux knowledge; in particular: Vi, Tail, SSH, ls, mv, cp, man
Desirable skills for the Core Java / JBoss / Spring Developer :

Good project planning and co-ordination skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Positive attitude.
Quick learner.
You will be working within the Equity eCommerce development team. The role will involve developing Java webstart based application for institutional portals. As part of a small team you will be responsible for interacting with the business in London and building technical solutions to meet the short time to market demands in this area making use of your Core Jave, JBoss and Spring experience. The successful candidate will also be required to mentor team members and articulate best practises in a range of technologies.
