Senior Java Application Developer - London £550 per day
My client, a leading a leading data systems programming group requires Java professionals with a minimum of 5 years experience to design and build web-based multi-tiered applications to be used by global data analysts. The successful Java developer will also be familiar with techniques for integrating existing mission critical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer to showcase their talents within the full system lifecycle, including system design, coding, testing and product support.
Essential Technical Requirements :
• Core java (5 years + )
• Unix/Linux
• SQL
• Shell Scripts
• Perl, awk, sed
• HTTP, TCP/IP
• C/C++ programming on Unix
• Experience using caching schemes like Memcach and Oracle Coherence Cache
Experience within the following is desirable but not essential :
• Strong Core Java Skills, garbage collection, serialisation, threading NIO, concurrency package, class loader, JIT compilers, optimisations.
• Experience developing multi-threaded applications
• Understanding and use of design patterns and enterprise integration patterns
• Experience using Eclipse, CVS,/WinCVS
Supporting global data analysts you will be developing high quality, distributed and scalable applications. You will have strong trouble shooting skills and be a team player with the ability to communicate effectively. You will also have experience of developing multi-threaded applications. Making use of your strong Core Java programming skills you will fill a vital role ensuring this companies continued success as a market leader in their field.
