Wind GIS Specialist : Gloucestershire, UK, £20-30k

My client is focussed on providing renewable energy solutions to communities with the aim of addressing climate change. T hey have a specific focus on onshore wind projects and are currently looking for someone with expertise in using GIS (Geographical Information System) software to conduct site assessments.
Responsibilities:

· Will be using the GIS (Geographical Information System) on a daily basis

· Conduct site visits to accurately assess feasibility of wind projects

· Preparing and reviewing wind farm layouts

· Carrying out due diligence reviews

· Providing reports to clients and internally to project development managers

Requirements:

· Must have an understanding of the entire GIS software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, use case modelling, development of functional specs database modelling and design, process modelling, structured programming techniques and testing

· Have experience in doing site assessments using GIS (Geographical Information System) software

· Need to be educated to BSc or MSc level in information technology or renewable energy

· Must be willing to travel occasionally

· Will be based in Gloucestershire
